CINQ MUSIC GROUP WAS FOUNDED IN 2012 BY JASON PETERSON AND BARRY DAFFURN ON THE REALIZATION THAT THERE WAS A MASSIVE GAP IN THE DISTRIBUTION MARKET. STrEAMING AND SOCIAL MEDIA WERE CREATING SUPERSTARS WITH NO ESTABLISHED COMPANIES TO HELP THEM.
They were either right, or just lucky. Within three years they had released two grammy winning albums, numerous billboard chart positions, and a nomination for billboard latin label of the year. Since then they’ve gone into record deals, publshing, and catalog acquistions.
To date, cinq has deployed over $250m into the independent creator ecosystem, and is damn proud of it.
